Group Development and Engagement through Play

Come and play with us! Group work is not just about accomplishing a goal. It is an opportunity to learn about others and yourself. This workshop will offer interactive opportunities to see different perspectives, learn different techniques in problem solving, and build relationships. This training will explore the process and benefit of group work and games in youth and adult development. This interactive workshop will host several activities and strategies for supporting interdependent roles while assessing together as a group the implications of certain strategies and how to build in group reflection.

Supervision and Ethics with Groups

Supervision provides opportunities for unique ethical dilemmas to arise. Group supervision can compound those issues. This training will provide an overview of ethical dilemmas to consider entering into supervisory relationships as a supervisor or supervisee. Attendees will be able to dive into real-life group supervision case studies as well as engage in professional, guided case consultation. This workshop will provide 2 CEUs and fulfill your ethics requirement.

Making Authentic Connections

We are excited to announce our first workshop of 2018! Making Authentic Connections presented by Darleen Simmons and Grit Youngquist of Saint Paul – Ramsey County Public Health. Making Authentic Connections is a grant funded program originally developed to promote and enhance quality teen/adult connectedness, the principles and strategies are equally applicable to all ages/stages of life. Participants will expand their capacity to create a greater sense of authenticity, belonging, and connection in group work and one-to-one-situations, while advancing health equity. This workshop will provide 3 CEUs.

Touching Into The Body’s Innate Resiliency: Somatic Literacy and Healing

We are excited to announce a new workshop taking place this December – Touching Into The Body’s Innate Resiliency: Somatic Literacy and Healing. Diane Long, BCTMB, SEP will guide you as you learn ways to incorporate touch and movement into group work to foster greater connections to self and others. This workshop will be a fun, dynamic blend of theory and experiential learning accessible to all levels of experience. This workshop will provide 3 social work CEUs.
